“ODIMM develops and implements programmes and instruments to support the SME sector, with the aim of increasing its performance and competitiveness. Among the beneficiaries of the ODIMM programmes are companies active in the field of green energy and biomass. Recently, more and more entrepreneurs are interested in clean technologies. For them, this event is an opportunity to get to know Romania’s experience in this field and create partnerships, "said Oxana Paladiciuc, coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), ODIMM.

“The event is a joint action to promote partnerships between businesses in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. This is based on the increased interest of Romanian entrepreneurs to broaden their scope of activity and to work with Moldovan entrepreneurs to seize new development opportunities, "said Laurențiu David, representative of the Central Regional Development Agency, Romania.

This event is organised by the Central Regional Development Agency in Romania, in collaboration with the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM), through the Enterprise Europe Network, as part of the economic mission to the Republic of Moldova dedicated to biomass valorisation and in the context of the European Union Sustainable Energy Week 2018 EUSEW2018.

The European Sustainable Energy Week runs from 6 to 8 June 2018. Since 2006, it has been taking place in several countries across Europe to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions. Moldova joined the initiative in 2014. According to official data, currently only 2 % of the population’s needs are covered by renewable energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy and biomass. Central authorities aim for 2 020.10 % of their energy consumption to come from renewable sources by 2020.
