The Premier also spoke about the Government’s actions to improve business conditions, referring to the establishment of the moratorium on state controls, the reduction of permissive acts, the development of business infrastructure, the facilitation of access to finance, announcing the development of a new draft programme dedicated to female entrepreneurship.2 2

In this context, Ms Iulia IABANJI, Director-General ODIMM presented the new State Programme for Women Entrepreneurs – “Women in Business”.

This programme is to be launched this year and is aimed at women in rural areas and women business owners. The programme offers a 3-step integrated approach that provides for:

I.Support in setting up a business: organising business start-up training, providing support and advice to increase the number of women who will create a sustainable business;
II.Support in newly created businesses: offering grants for investment and advice in strategic business planning;
III. Support for growing businesses: providing the investment grants and advisory support necessary for strategic business development and growth based on more jobs, application of innovations and initiation/expansion of exports.

3 3In the panel discussion, held in an amicable environment prone to an open and focused dialogue aimed at jointly identifying solutions for women’s more active involvement in society, female entrepreneurs addressed topics in different areas such as:access to funding, fiscal policy, obtaining licences and authorisations, subsidising economic operators in agriculture, etc.

It also called for intensive media coverage of the possibilities offered by the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union for the people of Transnistria.

Social aspects such as:creating conditions and programmes for young people to return and stay in the country, road infrastructure, etc.

On behalf of the undersigned, the proposal to launch the “Prime Minister’s Box Cup” with the support and agreement of the Premier has been put forward.4 4

At the end of the event, Ms Iulia IABANJI, Director-General ODIMM awarded the diploma of gratitude for contributing to the development of female entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova and the empowerment of women.

The Ladies thanked Mr FILIP for the time given to the direct dialogue and came up with the proposal to create a permanent format for such a dialogue.
