Decisions taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations to Support the Entrepreneurship Environment
A set of measures included in the Government’s commitment to accountability, suspended by decision of the Constitutional Court, were approved at the meeting of the Commission for Exceptional Situations. Prime Minister Ion Chicu announced that this would continue to support citizens and businesses.
Thus, the Commission for Exceptional Situations decided as follows:
1. Setting the minimum level of unemployment benefit at RON 2 775, as provided for in the suspended law; The granting of unemployment benefits in the amount of RON 2 775 for persons who register as unemployed;
2. Supporting low-income families: increasing the guaranteed minimum monthly income from RON 1107 to RON 1300, which allows us to calculate increased allowances also for children – from RON 553 to RON 975; For families in receipt of social assistance whose entitlement expires during the state of emergency, it will be extended until the state of emergency is lifted;
3. During the state of emergency, applicants for social assistance who are unable to submit a confirmatory document due to the cessation of the activities of some institutions may only submit declarations on their honour that they meet these criteria;
4. Subsidising employers’ expenditure related to the payment of wages;
5. Exemption from payment for patent-holders who ceased their activity during the state of emergency; Refund of social security contributions of a fixed amount for patent-holders;
6. Postponing until 25 July the deadline for the payment of local taxes for the first quarter for economic operators that have ceased their activities;
7. Earmarking for persons in state institutions who are trained in the fight against the epidemic an additional basic salary for doctors who are trained in the treatment of patients and an additional 50 % for other categories of medical personnel who are not directly trained in the process”.
“All these measures are valid only for the duration of the State of Emergency, they do not have a longer deadline,” said Prime Minister Chicu.
