Three Moldovan companies participate in International competition the Best Social Business Ideas launched under the the European Finance4SocialChange project.

30 companies from the Danube region compete in this international competition for the title of “Best Investment Project” in the social business sphere. Following a rigorous selection, 4 companies will be selected as winners to implement strategies that are expected to bring about social-positive change in their countries. They will be awarded EUR 7 thousand each for the implementation of social business projects.

The companies that will represent the Republic of Moldova in the competition come from different fields of activity with a social impact:

· Davitex Neo aims to make clothes for pre-term infants;

· AO ECO RĂZENI would implement a training programme dedicated to persons with disabilities and their integration into the world of work;

· Нdesh ‘О тО кО’ intends to process wood waste with the aim of using it as fertiliser, mushroom substrate, animal bedding, decoration of flower hosts and lawns, which will reduce the burden on the environment.

The competition for business plans will take place in the period 23-26 November 2020 it will consist of several steps: training, business plan development and virtual pitch sessions.

Finance4SocialChange is co-financed by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI) and aims at boosting access to innovative financing instruments as well as creating a business environment that helps social entrepreneurs to create more viable and stronger companies in the Danube region. The Finance4SocialChange project is implemented by ODIMM in consortium with 14 other countries in the Danube Basin.
