On 17 July at 10: 00, inside the premises Leogrand Convention Centre (str. Mitropolit Varlaam 77) Conference with General will take place Stimulationentrepreneurial activity of young people in rural areas”.

The aim of the conference is to present the results of project activities:

  • “Addressing the negative effects of migration on the remaining minors and families in the country”
  • “Supporting the implementation of the migration and development component of the EU-Moldova Mobility Partnership”.

The event will be attended by young grant beneficiaries from projects supporting entrepreneurial activity in rural areas, representatives of state institutions, donor organisations, NGOs, LPAs.

The above-mentioned projects were implemented on from 2010 to 2013 by Organisation for the Development of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector (ODIMM) with the financial support of International Organisation for Migration (ILO).

The projects aimed at developing business support infrastructure in rural areas, reducing and stopping youth migration, creating new businesses and jobs.

The project activities were structured in components: business consultancy and training, business planning, grants of up to EUR 2 000 for starting or developing one’s own business, post-financing monitoring and consultation.

Under the two projects, 36 training courses were organised with the participation of 750 young people from more than 100 municipalities in the country. 228 business plans were submitted to the funding competition, of which 147 were funded. The total amount of grants and technical assistance to beneficiaries is EUR 250 thousand.

ODIMM develop tools and it immerses activities aimed at supporting viable ideas of entrepreneurs wishing to develop their own business. ODIMM is a public, non-profit institution created by the Government of the Republic of Moldova by Decision No 538 of 17.5.2007.
