Calarasi, designated Best Incubator 2020
Best Business Incubator (AI) 2020 the district of Calarasi has been designated. The institution performed best in this year’s work and the incubation rate of companies is around 90 %. Today, an online meeting brought together the work of the 11 Incubators for this year, discussing new goals and future plans. The meeting was attended by representatives of ODIMM, RIAM and the administrators of the Moldovan Business Incubators.
Competition “Business incubator of the year” it is now in its sixth edition, initiated by the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) and the Business Incubators Network of the Republic of Moldova (RIAM). The competition aims to promote the success and good practices of Business Incubators, stimulate their activity and directly create new opportunities for the development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the regions.
According to Incubator’s manager Victor Ambroci, the institution has 32 businesses, of which 23 are start-ups. 18 businesses are run by young people and 14 by women. 83 jobs were created in companies incubated in AI Calarasi. “During this year, around 400 consultations were offered to entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs in the framework of IA Calarasi. For the development of entrepreneurial skills, promotion and acceleration of incubated business development, 2 economic development projects were accessed and 4 companies benefited from loans from the revolving fund. 15 training and information sessions were also organised, "said Victor Ambroci.
Director-General ODIMM, Yulia Costin reaffirmed his continued support for strengthening incubators to make them the main promoters of economic development in the regions.
“The Business Incubators Network matures, grows and grows. The claim is based on increasing performance indices. New jobs are being created, incubation facilities have been fully exploited by most members of the Network and residents’ turnover is increasing. Incubated companies diversify their business and implement innovative ideas ", said Iulia Costin.

— Business incubator in Dubăsari diploma of gratitude for increasing the indicators of progress of incubated companies;
— Sângerei Business Incubator gratitude for outstanding work in developing the business environment in the region;
— Business incubator Nisporeni Degree in efficiency and business support;
— Business incubator Cahul Degree in Effective Business and Business Support.
Currently around 253 resident companies operate in the eleven Business Incubators, members of RIAM, of which 145 are start-ups, 132 are run by young people and 122 companies are run by women. A total of 886 jobs were created, of which 450 were for women and 312 for young people.
The Business Incubators Network in Moldova was established in 2013 by ODIMM with the support of the European Union. The members of RIAM are Business Incubators: Ștefan-Vodă, Dubăsari, Leova, Ceadâr-Lunga, Rezina, Nisporeni, Sângerei, Soroca, Cimișlia, Cahul and Călărași.
