DSC 0585 editedThe Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) has concluded service contracts with 28 business experts who will provide business consultancy services to business women in the Republic of Moldova. Consultancy services will be provided under the Women in Business (PFA) pilot programme. Advisory service providers will contribute to the development of entrepreneurial skills among women in the Republic of Moldova.
Advisory services are a continuation of the entrepreneurial training process of the PFA beneficiaries which involves:mentoring, business consultancy, business registration guidance, etc.
“The more than 300 women who passed the training component of the PFA were geographically divided, including UTA Gagauzia. They will be familiarised and guided by experts after the entrepreneurial training courses have been completed with the tools and methods for using them in business planning and development, identifying the types of resources needed to launch the business, mentoring them to develop their own business plan, including receiving the financial support needed to launch and post-launch the business ", says Iulia Iabanji, Director-General of ODIMM.DSC 0589 edited
Mentoring services will be awarded individually to all women participating in the Training Campaign who wish to apply for the second stage grant competition of the Government’s Women in Business Programme.
DSC 0620 editedPhase 2 of the Women in Business pilot involves the component of small grants for women. This phase is open to women who manage a business for up to 2 years. The maximum grant amount is RON 165 thousand, of which RON 110 thousand will be channelled for the procurement of equipment and RON 55 thousand for the development of the business:research, consultancy, design, training, etc.
In autumn 2016, the Government of the Republic of Moldova launched the Women in Business Pilot Programme, managed by the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM). The implementation period of this Programme is 3 years, RON 51.5 million will be allocated from the state budget. This government initiative aims to promote economic and social ability in rural areas by reducing gender inequality, increasing and developing business, changing the perception of innovation, increasing access to modern resources, services and technologies. The programme is aimed at women planning to start or expand their businesses, especially in rural areas, and will support women entrepreneurs through 3 stages of business development.
