Another 2 rays are ready for the creation of Multifunctional Industrial Platforms
Today, during the visit of Prime Minister Ion Chicu to Ceadîr-Lunga Raion, the concept of the Multifunctional Industrial Platform (MIP) and the steps to be taken for the development of the MIP were presented.
Prime Minister Ion Chicu spoke about the Executive’s plans for regional development, including through business support initiatives such as Free Economic Zone (ZEL) and Multifunctional Industrial Platforms (MIP).
“We have a very important mission to strengthen the base of the economy in the Republic of Moldova. These industrial sites to be built are real opportunities for the development of municipalities. Here in Ceadîr-Lunga, we see progress, technical projects are also in place. I was even more pleased that preventive discussions have already been initiated with potential investors who will launch their businesses under the Platform”.
Iulia Costin, Director-General of the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM), pointed out that at this stage in Ceadîr-Lunga, an area of 7.2 ha was identified for the construction of the MIP. It has a strategic location, close to the Free Economic Zone, at the intersection of national roads. The site has access to energy and communication networks. A Memorandum of Collaboration with APL will be signed in the near future, followed by calls for tenders to start infrastructure works, including gas networks.
In this context, APL representatives mentioned that they are currently working to attract both local residents and foreigners who will develop their businesses in the framework of their Multifunctional Industrial Platform. Ceadîr-Lunga.
Subsequently, the representatives of the executive inspected the land identified for the creation of the Multifunctional Industrial Platform in Cimișlia. It is located in the built-up area of the city, with a favourable positioning and connection to the R3 road, close to the hotspot with Ukraine. The visit discussed the possibility of strategic development of the region by unifying efforts at local, regional and national development level. In this respect, the local government has taken several steps necessary for the economic development of the district, including through the creation and development of the MIP. The local entrepreneur, resident of the Cimișlia Industrial Park, whose production halls are in close proximity to the future MIP, was also visited.
Please note that the pilot programme for the creation of Multifunctional Industrial Platforms is implemented by ODIMM in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure. They are to be created in the lower industrialised districts of the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova.
