Another 22 new state-backed businesses for investments in modern equipment and green energy
Today, 22 entrepreneurs, approved for funding under the Repowering and Energy Efficiency Programme, have signed contracts with the Entrepreneurship Development Organisation (ODA). Companies will access grants of up to RON 2 million from the state to optimise gas and electricity consumption by replacing obsolete equipment with modern ones or installing alternative energy sources. The total value of the investments resulting from the implementation of the investment projects is approximately RON 52 million, of which the grant is approximately RON 22 million. Of the total number of companies, 15 operate in rural areas and 7 in urban areas.
The Director of ODA, Dumitru Pîntea, congratulated the recipient companies, stressing that the investments, which would be made as a package with financial support from the state, would add value to the company and have economic effects in the short term.
Of the total number of businesses, 13 companies will access grants of up to RON 1.5 million for energy efficiency, which constitutes 50 % of the investment cost, the money being used to purchase photovoltaic panels to produce electricity.
The companies that will access non-repayable financing to strengthen energy independence also include S.A. ‘Gheolaris’ in Chisinau, specialising in the production of PVC joinery, laminated wood and aluminium with thermopane panes. The manager of the business, Gheorghe Prepădeală, says that, looking at the energy situation of the recent period, he decided to invest in the construction of a photovoltaic electrical installation that will meet the energy needs for operating the machinery, including heating the halls with heat pumps.
“Our products are present on both the local and European market, we export to Belgium and France, and we plan to expand to other European countries. This way, the photovoltaic installation will allow us to become more competitive, with the possibility to create quality products at a much more affordable price, "the entrepreneur argues.
A further 9 SMEs will receive a grant of 50 % of the investment for the technology and repowering of businesses, but no more than RON 2 million for the automation of the production process; robotisation of production and repurposing with high-performance equipment.
The company ‘VESTVLAD’ S.R.L in Leova will access approximately RON 1.9 million for the purchase of modern, energy-efficient machinery for meat processing and the manufacture of charcuterie.
“Our business has a whole value chain, from abattoir, meat processor, meat product manufacturing to consumer marketing. In the meat processing industry, processing time is vital for maintaining the quality and harmlessness of finished products. By replacing obsolete equipment with performing ones, we will make internal processes more efficient and we will be able to process more raw material,” says Vladimir Ciobanu’s manager.
During the 7 months of implementation of the Repowering and Energy Efficiency Programme, 63 economic operators accessed a grant of approximately RON 55 million.
We recall that applications to access financial support in the form of a grant are submitted online on a continuous basis by filling in the form on the link: https://formular.oda.md/
