25 beneficiaries of the ‘PARE 1 + 1’ programme signed grant contracts for an amount of RON 5.85 million.
Today, 24 November, the Organisation for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ODIMM) signed grant contracts with 25 beneficiaries of the ‘PARE 1 + 1’ programme for attracting remittances to the economy. The total amount of the grants is RON 5.85 million, which will attract approximately RON 16 million to the national economy. The funding will reach companies located in 14 regions of the country: 4 of each mill. Chisinau and Nisporeni district, 3 each from Cahul district and UTA Găgăuzia district, 2 from Telcești district and one each from Călărași, Cimișlia, Căușeni, Criuleni, Cantemir, Florești, Hâncești, Râșcani and Strășeni district.
Of the 25 entrepreneurs who signed grant contracts, 11 are returning migrant workers and the rest are first-degree relatives.

Companies applying for grants covered all branches of the national economy. Most beneficiaries, 18 in number, will invest in agriculture: cultivation of cereals, vines, plums, walnuts, hazelnuts, hamlets, vegetables under shelter, animal husbandry – sheep, goat, quinchilla farms and business development in beekeeping. At the same time, 4 beneficiaries will provide earth moving services, drilling, educational centres for children, fitness activities. A further 3 beneficiaries concentrated their activity in the processing industry and agri-food sector: manufacture of furniture, footwear, pastry, cakes, confectionery and bakery products.
Funding from the state budget will enable the launch of 10 start-ups and the expansion of 15 businesses active in the market.
The implementation of these investment projects is expected to open up 74 new jobs, of which 30 for women and 20 for young people.The signatories of the contracts are to contribute their share of the investment according to the “1 + 1” rule of the money earned in 10 states: Italy, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain and Poland.
In the first 10 months of 2017, ODIMM signed 152 grant contracts for an amount of approximately RON 30 million, which will attract investments of more than RON 97.5 million. Moreover, for the implementation of the “PARE 1 + 1” Programme, RON 40 million is foreseen this year in the state budget.
