To the attention of economic operators in the Republic of Moldova in the context of the Decision CNESP on allowing customer access to business premises, serving and leisure only with the submission of the COVID certificate, from 22 January 2022please note that the verification of COVID certificates can be carried out, at page https://certificate-covid.gov.md/box “Certified verification”.

In order to combat the spread of COVID-19 on the territory of Romania, the Government calls on economic agents to ensure compliance with this provision by using the existing mechanism, which has been operational since October 2021.

The platform allows the verification and validation of EU Digital COVID Certificates generated both in Moldova and in the other interconnected states to the European IT system. In order to equate the COVID certificate, issued by the national electronic system to that issued in European Union countries, the authorities of the Republic of Moldova adjusted the structure of the QR code to EU standards.

Thus, all holders of COVID certificates issued by the national system by 16 November 2021, need to repeatedly download the document from page https://certificate-covid.gov.md/ to obtain the version approved and accepted by the EU authorities, including the Republic of Moldova.

For the verification of newly downloaded certificates, go to https://certificate-covid.gov.md Section “Certified verification” or any application interconnected with the European gateway. Applications can be downloaded free of charge from the Google Play or App Store apps shop, mobile phone or tablet.

The COVID-19 certificate comprises three distinct types of certificates: vaccination certificate, certificate of testing and recovery certificate.
