The “Mastercard Day 2024” conference was successfully held on 2 October 2 024 in Chișinău Arena, providing an important platform for presenting the support programmes implemented by the Organisation for Entrepreneurship Development. The event brought together industry experts and leaders, providing networking and collaboration opportunities, and highlighted initiatives that support local entrepreneurs in digitalisation and innovation.

At the event, Director ODA, Vadim Codreanu, highlighted the funding opportunities that the Government of the Republic of Moldova offers through Programme 373 for small and medium-sized enterprises. The programme allows access to advantageous credit to support the increase in investment capital and private sector development.

In his speech, Vadim Codreanu also welcomed the efficient collaboration with the banking sector in adopting modern online payment solutions, underlining the importance of the transition to a non-cash economy, which is essential in the current context.

Participants included Dumitru Alaiba, Minister for Economic Development and Digitalisation, representatives of the NBM and commercial banks in Moldova, as well as international experts.

The conference “Master Card Day 2024” is organised annually by Mastercard. The event served as a platform to present the latest digital innovations in payments, but also to discuss the evolution of e-commerce in the Republic of Moldova and the benefits of cashless transactions for businesses and citizens.
