Chisinau, 18 October 2024 — The Director of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship, Vadim Codreanu today undertook a working visit to north of Moldova. The head of the public institution met with approximately 100 entrepreneurs from Bult, Florești, Science, Drochia and Sgera.

Topics related to the funding opportunities offered by the Government through ODA-managed support programmes, how to access State financial support and the challenges faced by Moldova’s business environment in accessing business development investment funds were brought to the fore.

In the city of Bălite, Vadim Codreanu was placed at the table of talks with local entrepreneurs and businessmen in the rivers of the Rhine, Florești, Soroca, Science and Drochia. The meeting took place at the Centre for Information and Consultation in Business ODA. Active participants included Nina Tureac, the foundation of Body Med, which managed to develop its business thanks to an advantageous loan under the Government Programme 373.

We have invested almost lei 1.3 million in the purchase of modern medical equipment, through which we offer high-quality services. We have largely achieved this performance thanks to the Programme 373', which gave us the levers to increase the investment capital by almost one million lei", mentioned Nina Tureac.

The event was attended by MEP of the Moldovan Parliament, Boris Marcoci, and Head of the State Chancellor’s Office Vladimir Rusu. The officials reiterated the importance of conducting such entrepreneurial information sessions with the participation of the management of the Entrepreneurship Development Organisation, and reiterated the commitment of the country’s leadership to develop the business sector in the Republic of Moldova.

And in Sgeri, meeting with Director ODA, Vadim Codreanu, taught an increased interest among local entrepreneurs. The event, which took place in the City Business Incubator, was attended by over 50 entrepreneurs who were able to get acquainted with the opportunities for developing state affairs through the Organisation for Business Development. Director ODA, Vadim Codreanu, presented the financing mechanisms managed by ODA, and highlighted the overarching impact of the entrepreneurial sector on the economic development of the Republic of Moldova.

The primary mission of the Organisation for the Development of Entrepreneurship is to support the business environment in the Republic of Moldova, an important sector underpinning the development of the national economy. Visits to the territory are essential both to familiarise entrepreneurs with support programmes managed by ODA and funded by the Government, the European Union and other external partners, and to identify challenges faced by small and medium-sized companies at different stages of development. “” declared the Director ODA, Vadim Codreanu.

Over the past two years, through ODA-managed programmes, more than 76 companies in the Bucharest City and Selfare benefited from non-repayable financial support totalling approximately lei 30 million. Local entrepreneurs are also active beneficiaries in the Government Programme 373”. 38 companies in Bets and Complaints have so far accessed 46 loans totalling nearly lei 100 million for business development. As a result of the implementation of investment projects, the total investment in the national economy amounts to approximately lei 150 million.
